LIFE is a conservation-based organisation aligned with national wildlife policies and international frameworks, including the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Our focus is wildlife protection, rescue and rehabilitation, habitat conservation and biodiversity preservation.
Education, research and responsible visitor programmes exist only to support those conservation objectives and long-term ecological sustainability. Powered entirely by renewable energy and taking part in carbon trading to offset emissions beyond our own boundary, LIFE is designed to be climate-positive rather than merely sustainable.
It is the first initiative of its kind in Pakistan and among the largest in Asia, setting new benchmarks in animal welfare, conservation and environmental responsibility — and helping redefine Pakistan's environmental narrative on the global stage.
Mission
LIFE works to protect Pakistan's native and endangered animals, restore the habitats they depend on, and build a culture of compassion where wildlife can live free from poaching, trafficking, captivity and habitat loss.

A Pakistan where conservation is a shared national value — where protected grasslands, wetlands and forests thrive as carbon sinks, and where a new generation of conservationists, scientists and animal advocates carries the work forward.
History
How LIFE came to be
The idea
A response to a national gap
Founded by a group of media professionals, entrepreneurs and animal welfare specialists who saw native species disappearing to poaching, trafficking and habitat loss with nowhere safe to place rescued animals.
Securing the land
3,000+ acres outside Karachi
Land on the outskirts of Karachi, Sindh was identified and secured — enough space for open habitat rather than cages, and for grassland and wetland restoration at a meaningful scale.
Building capacity
Rescue, veterinary and research facilities
Development of rehabilitation facilities, a hospital with modern diagnostic and surgical capability, rescue vehicles, research labs and a dedicated animal school for training and education.

Pakistan's first net-zero conservation initiative
Operations powered entirely by renewable energy, integrated waste management and active carbon trading — setting a benchmark for animal welfare and conservation in the region.
